Grandma and Grandpa were involved in many school activities throughout the year by the students. This included volunteering, performing at Christmas, learning about planting trees on Earth Day, attending plays together, and learning traditional dances and crafts. The students were proud to include their grandparents in festivities and schoolwork to contribute to the European Year of Intergenerational Solidarity and Active Ageing.

perform plays

performed in the
town centre , or
pottery, a
wonderful
Romanian craft.

forget to involve
them in our
festivities for the
school finish and
to make them
proud about our
good results .

a saying here, in Romania,
‘Those who don’t have
elders, should buy ones’,
meaning we consider our
grandparents real treasures
of knowledge, wisdom,
traditions and experience.
We could show our love and
respect by involving them
all year round in our school
activities.
