SEED has partnered with Ignite Washington to lead Seattle Digital Readiness Initiative. The ultimate goal is to help small local businesses (and nonprofits) in the Seattle area tap the huge and growing online market to grow their customers and sales - thus helping preserve and grow local businesses and jobs. Our priority area is SE Seattle.
More people and businesses than ever are shopping and buying online. Unfortunately, the huge online retailers dominate this market and most small businesses are left out. At the May 6 event, there will be hands-on technical assistance and business tools for using technology to grow sales, starting with a free, comprehensive and technology neutral assessment of each participant's digital readiness.
Also, we will be rolling out a new online portal, Shop206.com, that is an incredibly affordable way for small businesses to be on the web, e-commerce ready, and mobile ready in one step. Starting at $10 a month. We already saved one small business $140 a month right out of the gate!
