REACTION PAPER
in
Civic Welfare Training Program Service
(Northville 7 Guiguinto, Bulacan)
NSTP made its way from civic welfare training by engaging in some
services. This activity purpose is to contribute our learnings to the general welfare and
betterment of life for the members of the community or the enhancement of its facilities,
especially those devoted to improving health, education, environment,
entrepreneurship, safety, recreation and moral of the citizenry and other social welfare
services to the chosen lower classes in different schools, and one of these schools is in
the Northville 7, Bulacan. It is the place where we’ve made our training program.
I’ve already experienced an outreach program by feeding other people,
teaching what’s best for them but this activity is not like that. It’s different from my past
experiences. The difference of it is on our outreach program, I used to teach adults but
here in our activity is 3-5 years old students. So there is really a lot of difference.
The class that we’ve handled is somewhat naughty but also very
participative. Even though they are naughty, we really enjoyed teaching and guiding
them. Most of the children on the first meeting are shy type but here, most of them are
really comfortable with us. My student, namely Eunice, is just a little girl, naughty, and
likes fun. Despite of their status in their life, she can smile all around and make friends
with other people. She’s contented with what she has in her life. Sometimes, I think why
don’t all of us be contented with what we have and live happy. Life is short. Don’t make
our life stressful but live happy.
I’m very proud that I’m one of the students who experienced it. It made
me realize that I’m really blessed by the Lord our God. Some of the students that I
talked to said that their family is broken and others said, one of their parents died. If
you compare it to yourself, you will just say, “I’m really blessed by the Lord, I’m
studying at Adamson University, both my parents are loving each other, I can eat thrice
a day, etc.” I’ve learned from them is to be contented with what you have.
In general, this major activity is successful. They learned a lot from us but
also, we’ve learned from them too.
