A teacher is becoming increasingly aware of technology, may have attended
some INSET, but rarely (and often reluctantly) tries to use technology in the
classroom.
A teacher becomes increasingly aware of the benefits of technology, begins to
incorporate it into teaching, often “replacing” former activities with technology
alternatives. This begins to have a beneficial effect on teaching and learning,
although use remains fragile and the teacher is often set back, e.g. by technical
hitches.
A teacher is becoming increasingly familiar with appropriate use of technology,
and can integrate it into many aspects of ongoing teaching. Teaching and
Learning begins to be significantly enhanced.
The potential of the technology is now exploited to move into new areas and
approaches that could not be easily replicated by more “traditional” means.
Teaching and learning begins to be significantly transformed.
Developmental and CREATIVE possibilities of technology are being fully explored.
Use of technology can grow and develop in response to the needs of the learner
and the consequent teaching implications. Teaching and learning is very
significantly transformed.
