- Let me clarify that for you – “What the Bible says is obvious – that the earth is only 6000 years old – and everyone has seen this as obvious in the scriptures… I just don’t want to believe it because I believe what man says more.” You may call yourself a “conservative bible scholar” but if you say: “I know what the Bible says… but…” The problem is nature actually testifies to a young earth!
- You see, we all look at the same Data….
- That story is the interpretation And I have news for you - we can’t prove with observational science either way because it doesn’t assess the past, only the present But the Biblical model fits the data the best and shoots itself in the foot less By the way, we don’t appeal to the authority of scripture to do science nor try to prove the Bible, it doesn’t need our help The Bible is just plain true and has to be believed and obeyed – all of it But if it’s true, it aught to work – and let me show you how well it does work!
- In reality, the fossils are arranged, but they are arranged in the order of successive life zones by rising waters in a global flood. They aren’t arranged like this at all – they are mixed – if there is one of the top fossils found in a lower layer, they redate the layer to fit evolution. You see…
- Secular scientists found wood in the “Jurassic Layer” dated to be 23k years old in a layer dated 189 million years old (The Marlstone Rock Bed is a distinctive limestone unit that outcrops from Lyme Regis on the Dorset coast of southern England, north-eastwards to just west of Hull near the North Sea coast)
- We find a bunch of fully functional, fully formed, complex beings being killed and buried in muddy sediments that later hardened into rock. That “Tree of Life” is really more of a tree of meaning

- How valuable is an earthworm? You really don’t even regret it when you step on one of those? The first time you hit a squirrel running across the road you felt bad, but not a worm. It’s no wonder our culture doesn’t value life – you’re not worth more than a worm! That is a very different truth than what Jesus teaches

- It’s what evolutionists admit to!! AND THAT MAKES SENSE FROM SCRIPTURE
- It say kind not species – its not a word of classification but probably animals that could interbreed (ie one set of dogs)
- Ask a dog breeder if they can breed a dog with wings You can’t get a cat from a dog Actually, there is a recently formed new cat breed called a “sail cat” You see…
- What would you expect to see if the earth was violently destroyed by water? Lots of dead things? Especially tons of hard marine things trapped in the mud right?
- 95% Marine invertebrates 4% Plants <1% are vertebrates .95% fish .04% insects << .01% of the total are land vertebrates You wouldn’t know that going into a museum because who in their right mind would pay money to see a fossil of algae I’m a nerd and I wouldn’t That makes sense from what we know is true….
- So if 95% of life on earth is aquatic, wouldn’t you expect that to be seen in the fossil record? HUH – that’s exactly what we see See if evolution is correct then it dictates that…
- But if the Bible is true, that means the fossils… And if evolution is true then it mandates that…
- You would find transitional forms but we don’t find them The Bible mandates that we should see Created kinds and no transitional forms… which is what we see! You need to know where scientific research stops and non-scientific interpretation begins See scientists at times make things up and slip them into their stuff hoping you won’t notice it is unsubstantiated…
- This is called a cladogram. It is basically an artists rendition of transition between animal classifications In this case a Ceolocanth (most amphibian-like fish) to an Acanthostega (most fish-like amphibian, now extinct) Acanthostega found in layers You see, they thought for years the ceolocanth was extinct and they had this great story about how it used it’s bony fins to crawl and wiggle it’s way onto land taking the first breath – One small wiggle for fish but one giant leap for evolution… until they found one
- You have to understand where science stops and non-scientific interpretation begins – They create pictures to help illustrate what they believe supports evolution – but it isn’t real.. It’s just imagination
- Here is a great example When they found this it was lauded as the missing link – “The Transitional Fossil” It prompted a book by Neil Shubin
- Not very exciting. No feet, fins, nothing. Just pseudo-scapula and a skull. What we find appears to be a perfectly created bony fish that went extinct… By the way this is a tropical marine fish found on land in the Canadian Arctic

- The fossil record fails to document evolution We see a lot of stuff that died and got covered rapidly by mud Remember – when you see a fossil – it doesn’t tell you: where, or how it lived How it died Where it died IT TELLS YOU WHERE IT WAS BURRIED – that’s it

- Three Archaopteryx – crow sized birds that are all in the drowning death pose, gasping for air
- And the Morrison formation extends over 12 states – what kind of a stream are we talking about here??? Sounds like a horrific violent death with rapid, catastrophic burial in muddy sediments
- When we look at the fossil record we see fish, compressed flat from tons of muddy sediments When you open a fossil like this you can actually smell the fish. ITS NOT OLD! Bottom line is that the fossils show catastrophic deposition If the Global flood killed these animals, you would expect to see land animal buried next to marine animals.
- Land animal and marine animal buried and squished together… how did they get together? Were they friends?
- Ichthyosaur was quite specialized equipped to thrive in hostile waters (Location: China. Dated as Triassic.) Science learned from this fossil that it gave birth to live young, rather than laying eggs. The ichthyosaur must have been buried extremely quickly, for the entire process of giving birth would not have taken a long period of time. This is not a record of the slow accumulation of sediments around a dead carcass, but a record of death by rapid burial, as sediments cascaded around the struggling animal.

- We don’t do science so that we can believe the Bible! We do it to confirm what we already believe. And in some cases, help
- It does not take long to petrify wood. It just takes the right conditions mainly hot, silica rich volcanic water Sometimes, even the tree rings are preserved. split rail fencepost, partially buried in volcanic ash in Washington state in the mid-1800s. To see how trees are petrified we go to Mt St Helens Spirit Lake
- A polystrate fossil is a fossil that extends through many (poly) layers of rock (strata). These are in Tennessee Peircing numerous layers of shale and coal from marine environments But this tree grew on land So it must have been uprooted and floated to its place of burial The Petrified Forest of Yellowstone National Park has long been thought to “disprove” the Bible’s depiction of a young earth. However, the discovery of matching tree ring patterns in trees from multiple layers, showing that they grew at the same time, put an end to that.
- In 1908 Charles Sternberg found this mummified Hadrasur in the Badlands of Wyoming Interesting, but it’s not just a creationist thing… Currently on display at the American Museum of Natural History
- Hadrosaur Skin flakes off of the fossils surface Used reflected infrared light patterns to determine chemical signatures including sugars, fats, and proteins in the skin
- In 2005, a team of scientists found a femur of a Tyrannosaurus Rex that contained intact blood vessels and red blood cells (small circle above). Once freed from the bones, the blood vessels could be stretched—and even snapped back into place!
- 2009 scientists found a hadrasour with lots of soft tissue samples The analysis of this fossil (done by multiple, independent labs) concluded the fossil contained collagen, elastin, hemoglobin, and osteocytes. That isn’t something that has been around for millions of years, maybe 4000 years.
- List of published dates and places where remains of dinosaurs have been found viable Why do they say it is that old? Because it’s in rock layers that have other fossils that they say are that old
