The Best Communication forces you to listen, Said Peter F Drucker-the 'Father of Management.' Its not the speaker but the listener, who communicates. Yes, if someone spoke, but none listened to him/her, no communication took place- only some noise was make. Perhaps communication skill is more important for the success of a person than any other skill. In a sense, communication as a competency includes many other skills and traits like thinking skills, empathy and integrity. As the purpose of communication is to know the truth and to convey the truth, becoming truthful to oneself and to the others determines the success of a communicator . Our programme creates in the students a taste for this great value and to use it as a strategy to communicate effectively It creates myriad experiences for the children through various activities; and from each experience, they emerge with learning. At the end of the programme, the students will know what they should do to become great communicators. Because the course would have made them to understand its importance and would have created in them the motivation and confidence that they can communicate! Both communication and negotiation skills are life skills. We negotiate, influence and persuade on a daily basis; as we buy and sell, and deal with our clients, colleagues, managers, suppliers, family and friends... and, many times, we have to be assertive about it. Successful negotiations require serious collaboration with others and an ability to shift perspective and gain insight into each other’s motivations in order to form a win-win agreement. Having a win-win mentality, however, does not mean lack of assertion. On the contrary, in order for everyone to win, we sometimes have to take very bold steps for their own good. Our "Utilizing Assertive Communication to Achieve Win-Win Results" course takes a close look at the vital role boldness and assertion play in negotiation and everyday communication. Attendees of this unique course will learn how to “hold their ground” and “hold their own” when negotiating and communicating with others. Having an effective win-win mentality requires advanced assertive communication skills that allow us to define procedures, strategize for mutual gain, create precise plans, listen effectively, and much more. This program will give participants the proper asserive communication skills to ensure that everyone wins. OBJECTIVES: By attending this course, participants will: 1. Determine where emotions stem from 2. Influence emotions to achieve win-win scenarios 3. Understand and appreciate the role of assertion in communication and negotiation 4. I will be discussing my performance in various activities that have taken place in the first half of the year, and aim to develop an understanding of how I approach to different situations. Additionally, I will develop an action plan to discuss my goals and how to improve the way I approach certain situations. Oral Presentation Skills Firstly, I will be talking about my oral presentation skills. In week 10, I and my group members had to give a group presentation discussing possible solutions to a problem that was presented to us. From this, I discovered that I needed to improve on my confidence in speaking to the audience, this is because I felt that I could have elaborated on what I was saying and felt that my point was not explained effectively. For this reason, in other group presentations I will prepare myself by speaking more and ensuring that my explanation is understood by the audience, rather than simply reading of the PowerPoint slide. This will eventually give me more confidence to engage with the audience as I will be fully prepared and organised. Written Communication Skills My written communication skills in the formal report come across clearly and I believe I have done a good job. I have been able to set the report out in a structure which was effective in ensuring a good flow throughout the report. In my report there are simple construction errors in some sentences and grammar problems. The way to improve these are by getting a fellow class member to proof read my work before I submit my work. As looking back to my report and getting feedback it is simple and brief and some content was missing. I should have added more detail in my report and read the assignment brief to see what content I had to add in my report before submitting. I should also have elaborated when talking about various skills in my report. Team Role Preference (Belbin) There are many Belbin roles which people can choose to be or when they complete the questionnaire they will get to know what they are. My Belbin role was a chairperson, this means that someone who is in charge and the leader for a group. The evidence of me being a chairperson is when I and my group members had to give a presentation in one of our seminars regarding a problem and how to find many solutions to the problem. In my group I was chosen the role of a chairperson due to my leadership and commitment towards the presentation. When the group activities were taking place in my seminars I was relaxed and had no problem being the chairperson. I am most comfortable when organising my group members for a presentation as I told them what to do a.

It combines memory safety and concurrency to create an independent, modular, and embeddable rendering engine that adheres to web standards. Stewardship of Servo moved from Mozilla Research to the Linux Foundation in 2020, where its mission remains unchanged. After some slow years, in 2023 there has been renewed activity on the project, with a roadmap now focused on improving the engine’s CSS 2 conformance, exploring Android support, and making Servo a practical embeddable rendering engine. In this presentation, Rakhi Sharma reviews the status of the project, our recent developments in 2023, our collaboration with Tauri to make Servo an easy-to-use embeddable rendering engine, and our plans for the future to make Servo an alternative web rendering engine for the embedded devices industry.
