2. Affirmative Commands
When using positive commands use the
informal (Tú) form to tell a friend
something. Also drop the -s ending of the
verb.
Examples:
hablas-------->¡Habla!
Study!--------> ¡Estudia!
3. Negative Commands
To use the negative commands you have to
switch the -as endings to -es and the -es
endings to -as
Examples:
Don’t eat the apple!-------> ¡No come la
manzana!
Don’t walk!----> ¡No camine!
4. Spelling Change
There are many verbs that change their spelling to
keep their sound when they are changed into a
negative form.
Examples:
1) Jugar: the -g changes to -gue to keep the g
sound
2) Verbs ending in -car:
Practicar: the -c changes to que to keep the k sound
