This map shows c ities where consortium member universities consisting of state and private universities located . Until recently, there were 48 members, but in a couple of week ago 9 universities also become a part of the consortium. Now there are 57 memeber of the consortium.
There are 150 courses in 20 categories.
there are 50 courses from 11 departments published by 18 faculty members. Instructional Technology support office.
There are 49 in 11 categories,
2) Turkish population is relatively young, with 25.5% falling within the 0–15 age bracket 3) Number of universities has increased. And staff to student ratio is 74 students for one instructor in the State universities. 4) OER could increase amount of resources available and their quality. Provide an opportunity for gradual improvement of distance education Provide a chance to explorer using digital resources in distance education
General purposes of my study is to inform decision makers and key stakeholders in higher education to facilitate the strategic implementaion of OER.
Instructors from 28 universities respondeted the survey which is indicated in the pie chart 8 % of respondents includes instructors who did not state which university they were from and universities whose response rate is lower than 1 %
In the survey participants rated their level of agreement on the six-point likert scale for each item (6 indicating “ Totally agree”) The results indicate that the most rated / significant barrier for sharing content is the intellectual property rights associated with the material. This migth shows that instructors are not aware of CC or Ambiguity about legal procedures
They want to know when any changes made in their materials. They are almost totally agree. Sharing course materials should be compulsory is lowest mean score among the items. That is instructors somewhat disagree to making publishing compulsory. I nstructors want their materials to remain unchanged when they are reused.
All mean scores are higher than 4.88 showing that academics have a consensus for possible benefits of freely publishing course materials. is the most agreed benefit indicated by participants. The second most important advantage agreed on by instructors is As I mentioned earlier (main motivation) for Turkish context is confirmed by instructors
This was a great experience in several aspacets Academic level 0) It has been very valuable opportunity to be imersed in OLnet OER community, something that I would not have experienced in Turkey. 1) Weekly meeting for supervision with Tina 1) I have conducted more than 20 personel meeting with almost all of you. So in these meetings I have a chance to revise first phase and get ideas for second phase of my research. 2) Seeing lots of projects in their context and lots of people working. Role and importance of the OLnet project. 3) Allowed me to understand your studies. How you approach the OER, what methodologies you applied. I have chance to gain these experiences from first hand. 4) Olnet has introduced me new tools and have a chance to practice using these tools
M y thesis has feed to OLnet and O L net has support ed to my thesis I am very happy that Olnet will see able to meet the Olnet team again.
ISKME- Intitue of the study of Knowledge Management in Education “ This case study framework seeks to assist OER projects in tracking, analyzing and sharing key developments in the creation, use and reuse of open educational resources. ”
