2. I started by opening
Imovie on my Mac
Desktop. As you can see
I have practiced editing
on Imovie quite a lot. I
also used it a lot last
year for AS media.
3. I then selected ‘create new’ and
selected the ‘movie’ option over the
trailer.
4. I then uploaded all the audio footage I wanted
which included the narrator and the music
5. I then selected the narration clips I wanted and drag and
dropped them into the editing line to further edit them. I
also added the music.
6. I then cut down the clips I wanted to the correct time and
placed all the clips in the correct order of the advert. I did
this by dropping and dragging and cutting the clips.
7. I then edited the music. I places it in the editing box (right)
and used the slip tool to cut the piece in half so that I could
use the section of the song I wanted in the trailer.
8. I then realised after listening back to the trailer that the music overpowers the voice of
the narrator. To correct this I clicked on the ‘sound’ icon at the top of the right side of the
screen. I then lowered the music from 100% down to 90% and heightened the narrators
voice from 1005 up to 200%. This effect worked well.
9. In order to create breaks in-between the narrators voice, I
added in titles to leave time. I inserted these in-between
the audios however the music would continue to play.
10. I decided I wanted the bang noise that occurs before the narrator says the film
name should be louder to shock the audience more. To do this I ‘waved’ the
audio clip so that I could adjust the frequency of the sound.
