This is my inquiry on ecological buildings. For this we had to do a big question and three little questions to back up our main idea.
We did this topic in term two.
I really enjoyed doing this topic and i learnt lots about ecological buildings.
7. Our Aim:
Our aim is to find a big question and three little questions.
Then we have to find the answers to these questions.
We have to do this because we are learning about ecological
buildings and how they work.
9. The best way to build your house is...
I personally think the the best way to build your house is using
bamboo for the ground because it isn't cutting down the trees
that take for ever to grow. Also I think the best way to power
your house is solar or windmills. But windmills do make a loud
throbbing noise.
But research does says that the best way to build a house is out of
materials that have already been used for older houses but they
are still in good condition. Also the two best ways to power your
house are:
1: Solar Energy
10. What is the most used ecological
material ?
The most used Ecological Energy is solar panels.
This is because...
Solar panels: With solar panels one kilowatt-hour equals the
amount of electricity needed to burn a 100 watt light bulb for 10
hours.
11. What was the first ecological
power product in New Zealand?
The windmill was the first ecological power in N.Z. Here is some
information about windmills.
1: The windmills are a great farming tool.
2: Windmills where first built in the middle east.
12. What could we use to make our house
more ecological friendly?
We could use concrete because it keeps heat in.
Using double glazed windows is also very good and keeps the
house very warm.
We could use solar panels.
13. So in the near future...
I hope this information will help when your parents are
renovating or even when your older and getting a house.
