2. Technology is the Key There is a unlimited number of resources that technology can provide if integrated in today’s classrooms.
3. Glass Half Empty or Half Full ? Technology is certainly a topic of interest as it has definitely impacted our society. Many wonder though if technology will help support success within our students and community or will it hinder the education that our future generation is receiving. Technology, like many other areas, has both good and bad characteristics. However, it is up to us educators to model correct behavior and educate our future generation on how technology can assist them
13. The previous two slides have listed both ways in which technology can help or hinder education. However I feel that the positive outcomes outweigh the negative outcomes. In my opinion, the negative factors can be controlled and combated with heavy monitoring, which teachers should always do anyways, parental/adult controls that will block any harmful, damaging information, and anti-virus protection that can easily be purchased and installed. Positive Thinking
14. The negative factors can be easily targeted and dealt with accordingly. I don’t feel that these factors should prevent the classrooms from integrating technology. Our students need to be prepared for the future and need to start as soon as they can to achieve success. With everything comes responsibility. As educators and parents it is our responsibility to show and model correct internet use and computer practice. Positive Thinking
15. Technology not only will engage our new digital age learners but it will target our diverse population of students who struggle. Many of our struggling students prefer to see images and visuals and technology can certainly help out these students who are more intrigued with animation. Positive Thinking
16. One thing that I know is certain is that technology is a new way of life that does not seem to be going anywhere. It’s here to stay and it is up to us educators to make the best of it and use it wisely. Change is occurring and we must stay up with the new age to lure our students in and engage them to be participants of their own education Technology Is Here To Stay!
