       – Higher efficiencies (70-80%) than pipes or plates
       – Latent transfer capability

  •   Disadvantages:
       – Higher maintenance
       – Higher risk of fouling
       – Odors/other contaminants can be reintroduced to the space (especially
          nicotine)
       – Particulate matter can be reintroduced to the space
       – Due to leakage/purge, fans must move 10-25% more air

          – Lower efficiency than pipes, plates, wheels

          – Pump consumes energy

          – High FPI required to achieve moderate efficiency
