While creatingmyalbumart for the rock band“snake juice”I made sure to follow numerous
conventionssothatmyposterwas relevanttothe genre.One of the mostnotable of these isthe
presence of the drumkiton the back cover of the CD case as instrumentsusedbythe band(and
oftenbeingplayedbythe band) are importantpiecesof iconographyinthe rockgenre.Ialsoused
dark, washed-outandmoodycolours.These create anemotionallypowerful atmosphere with
negative connotationswhichare oftenpresentinthe genre of rockmusicand it’srelatedartwork.
On topof thisthe costumespresentedinthe artare fairlybright,simple andcasual whichis
representative of the poprockscene andthe charactersare presentedasrebelliouswithshorthair
and an aggressive stance whichisatheme whichisoftenpresentinrockmusic.
