5. Objectives of the lesson 1. Understanding the given text. 2. Knowing how to translate the text approximately. 3. Being able to determine the problems and mistakes ( common or serious). 4. Being familiar with new kinds of problem of translation. Amal Falah

6. Rationale Understanding the material helps the student give an appropriate translation. Familiarize students with problems of translation to avoid mistakes making while translating. Amal Falah

11. يا أطفال! هلا توقفتم عن الإزعاج. أرجوكم، التقطوا ملابسكم وألعابكم! من الصعب جداً إبقاء هذا المنزل نظيفاً مع رميكُم للأشياء في جميع الأنحاء. كلارا: أعلم أن هذا يضايقك ( أن الأطفال تسببوا في إزعاجك)، ولكن حاولي ألا تجعليه يغضبك كثيراً. أسمع يا جيم: أنا لم أعد أستطيع التحمل. يضايقني ويغضبني الأطفال عندما يكونون مزعجين وفوضويين هكذا. 12. Translation Problems: Problems with the source text:1. Text difficult to read or illegible text 2. Spelled incorrectly or printed incorrectly 3. Unfinished text 4. Badly written text Language problems:1. Idiom terms and neologisms 2. Unsolved acronyms and abbreviations 3. Proper name of people, organizations, and places. 4. Slang difficult to understand 5. 13. Problems Faced on The Text 1. The text is badly written and difficult to read, because of the different kinds of fonts and choosing a bad color. 2. Spelling problem: Like the word (enh) which sould be written as (enough). Amal Falah

14. 3. Cultural differences like in ( children) only but as:أطفال shouldn’t be translated as: يا by adding the word:يا أطفال Also in ( for the sake of the heavens) أرجوكم translated as: Amal Falah

15. Punctuation problems: Like the comma in the after the name (Clara,) mean an utterance, but in Arabic it should be translated to: كلارا: Also like ( listen, Jim ) suold be translated as: أسمع يا جيم: Amal Falah
