Welcome to the online information meeting for the kinesiology program. This
presentation will only take 20 minutes of your time and will prepare you to
better understand what a masters of arts in kinesiology: athletic training
emphasis from Fresno Pacific University can do for you.

Program Description
This 14 month program is designed for students who are National Athletic Trainers'
Association Board of Certification, Inc. (NATABOC) certified athletic trainers
with good standing or are eligible to take the NATABOC examination. The
program provides for intensive study in athletic training pedagogical studies,
administration and organizational issues in athletic training, and advanced
therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation. Students will also study and develop
skills in research methods, computer skills, psychological aspect of injuries and
rehabilitation, and sport’s law and ethics. Clinical experience in the field is
expected during the fall and spring semesters. Graduates should be eligible to
apply for athletic training positions at the high school, community college,
college, university, professional and private agent levels. 2

Financial Aid
Fresno Pacific University offers two basic types of financial aid: scholarships and
grants, which do not have to be repaid, and loans. Most loans and grants are
awarded on the basis of a combination of scholastic or other achievement and
demonstrated financial need.
The FPU Church Match Scholarship offers students' churches the chance to get
involved in their education. FPU will match 2:1 the amount provided by your
church up to $500/semester for churches belonging to the Pacific District of
Mennonite Brethren Churches. FPU will match 1:1 up to $250/semester for
churches not belonging to the Pacific District.

Admission Requirements for All Kinesiology Students
Completion of application for admission with non-refundable graduate
application fee as described in the university catalog.
Official transcripts of all college work verifying completion of a bachelor’s degree
from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.75.
Three reference forms or letters of recommendation addressing the applicant’s
academic qualifications and abilities to be successful in a graduate program.
Letter of intent and two writing samples indicating potential graduate level work.
A current resume including all related professional and extra curricular
experience.

Athletic Training Emphasis
A Current NATABOC certification with good standing or eligible for the NATABOC

If seeking financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) or contact the student financial services office.
Once your application and requirements are complete your graduate file will go
to the program director for admission review.
Each applicant will receive a decision letter within 2 - 4 weeks of completing the
application.

Transcripts submitted for admission or transfer credit become the property of
Fresno Pacific University and cannot be returned to the applicant or
forwarded to other institutions. This includes making copies of transfer

enrollment dates listed below, the fee is only $60. We accept applications at
