1. COMPLETE LOW COST SCADA
SYSTEM OF THE
INTELLIGENT HOUSE

2. Abstract:
• This project is concerned with the visualization and operating of an
industrial automatic machine. Due to the developed SCADA software
it is possible to control a specific system of a family house heating
which is based on the control elements of Amit Company and the
regulators that are compatible with this system.
• The realized system is implemented and tested in real running of a
family house. The software is connected directly to the internal
network DB-Net which enables communication on the basis of
industrial bus called Ethernet. From this network the software is able
to read data of known variables and operate the action parts of PLC
programme in accordance to the project documentation input. The
developed SCADA system was realized on a platform .NET
Framework in the C# language.
3. Existing system:
In the existing management system the monitoring and
control is not at all integrated.
Thus Human intervention is always needed.
Proposed system:
This project realizes new SCADA software solution of an
intelligent house. Microcontrollers programmed for this
particular application reduces the need of computer by
employing specially designed HMI (Human Machine
Interface).
More possible peripherals interfacings with low cost.(such as
Electric Energy Generator, Air conditioning, Heating,
Ventilation Mechanism, Lighting, Fire alarm and even Video-
camera which monitors the building.)

10. IMPLEMENTATION
• The application is designed for a comfortable operating of the
whole system of object’s heating. With regard to the application
being realized “to fit perfectly”, the requests of the object’s
owner for components’ allocation and overall ergonomics of the
application were fully respected.
• The whole operating system uses energetically undemanding
server which is based on an embedded platform with basic
board called Intel D945GSEJT (Johnstown) with Atom N270
processor. Windows 2003 Server is used as the operation
system. It was chosen due to its stability and ability to be
accessed distantly. Finally, it is connected with MaR
technologies by the Ethernet network.

12. CONCLUSIONS
• This project realizes new SCADA software solution of an
intelligent house. The new solution replaces and improves the
possibilities of current ViewDET solution in several ways. By
developed SCADA software it is possible to control a specific
system of a family house heating which is based on the control
element and the regulators that are compatible with this system.
The realized system is implemented and tested in real running
of a family house.

13. Advantages:
• Computational abilities allow more sophisticated control.
• Trouble shooting aids make programming easier and
reduce downtime.
• For any change of use, all you need to do is to modify
the program. It is no longer required to link a new relay
or timer, as they are replaced by the program.
• A single device does not need wiring between the
modules only cables for sensors, actuation systems and
power supply
