 Mayor Jaime Fresnedi distributed five-thousands-
seventyfive foods packs for the students of Alabang
Elementary school last week through house to house.
 Is it correct to write the numbers as 5 075?
 What is the correct way of writing the number?
 Do you think why the Mayor distributed those goods
to the children?
 Why is it that we need to stay home until now
especially the school children?
 Mayor Fresnedi distributed
the 1st batch of relief goods with a
total of 92 955 last April for
Muntinlupa residence and for the
2nd batch with a total of 93 400
goods. Which batch had more
number of goods? How will you
write 92 955 and 93 400 in words?
Presentation!
Read and analyze the problem.
 What will you do if your
neighbor was not able to receive
any of those goods?
 Is it good to share what you have
even during this difficult time?
Why?
1. Who distributed the relief good?
2. How many relief goods he
distributed for the 1st batch?
3. How about on the 2nd batch of
goods?
4. Can you compare batch 1 over
batch 2 of relief goods?
5. Can you write the given numbers
in words?
Answer the questions
below:
 How many goods distributed for the 1st batch?
 How about in the 2nd batch?
 How will compare the two numbers.
92 955
93 400
Ten
Thousands
Thousands Hundreds Tens Ones
9 2 9 5 5
9 3 4 0 0
same 3 is greater than
2
Therefore, 93 400 is greater than 92 955
93 400 > 92 955
Answer: Mayor Fresnedi distributed more goods on the
second batch.
 When comparing numbers, you can follow these steps:
1. Align the digits with the same place value
2. Starting from the left, compare the digits in each place value
3. The first pair of digits that are of different values will determine which
number is greater or less.
Step 1
Compare the digits in the ten thousands
place.
92 955 same digits in the
93 400 ten thousand
place
Step 2
Compare the digits in the thousands
place.
92 955 since 2 thousand is
less than 3
thousand
93 400
Since 2 < 3 therefore:
92 955 < 93 400
Therefore: 92 955 is “<“ less than 93 400
 How many goods distributed for the 1st batch?
 How about the 2nd batch?
 If you are going to write those numbers in words, how will you do it?
92 955
93 400

Thousands
Thousands Hundreds Tens Ones
1.) 9 2 9 5 5
2.) 9 3 4 0 0
For no. 2) Nine ten thousands is equal to Ninety thousands plus three thousands, four
hundreds
Do we need to write zero for the tens and ones?
Therefore: answer in 2.) Ninety three thousands, four hundred
Noticed that we need not to write the word zero.
For no. 1) Nine ten thousands is equal to Ninety thousands, nine thousands, five hundreds
and 5 ones
Therefore: answer in 1.) Ninety two thousands, nine hundred fifty-five
1.)How many 10 000 do we have?___________

3.) How many tens? How many ones?___________
Let’s Explore and Discover!
 The Department of Agriculture

residence in Barangay Alabang and
Cupang. The total number of
seedlings donated in Alabang was
64 821 and 64 381 for Cupang. In

How do you read and write the
number 64 821 and 64 381 in words
and symbol?
1.)How many 10 000 do we have?___________
2.) How many hundreds do we have? ___________
3.) How many tens? How many ones?___________

How do you read and write the number 64 821 and 64 381 in words and symbol?
64 821 is read as Sixty-four thousands, eight hundred twenty-one and write as 64 821 in
symbol.
 64 381 is read as Sixty-four thousands, three hundred eighty-one and writes as 64 381
 Let us compare 64 821 over 64 381
Step 1
Compare the digits in the
ten thousands place.
64 821 same digits in
the
64 381 ten thousand
place
Step 2
Compare the digits in the

Step 2
Compare the digits in the thousands place.
64 821 since 8 hundreds is
greater than 3 hundreds
64 381
Since 8 > 3 therefore:
64 821 > 64 381

  • 9.  Mayor Jaime Fresnedi distributed five-thousands- seventyfive foods packs for the students of Alabang Elementary school last week through house to house.  Is it correct to write the numbers as 5 075?  What is the correct way of writing the number?  Do you think why the Mayor distributed those goods to the children?  Why is it that we need to stay home until now especially the school children?
  • 10.  Mayor Fresnedi distributed the 1st batch of relief goods with a total of 92 955 last April for Muntinlupa residence and for the 2nd batch with a total of 93 400 goods. Which batch had more number of goods? How will you write 92 955 and 93 400 in words? Presentation! Read and analyze the problem.  What will you do if your neighbor was not able to receive any of those goods?  Is it good to share what you have even during this difficult time? Why? 1. Who distributed the relief good? 2. How many relief goods he distributed for the 1st batch? 3. How about on the 2nd batch of goods? 4. Can you compare batch 1 over batch 2 of relief goods? 5. Can you write the given numbers in words? Answer the questions below:
  • 11.  How many goods distributed for the 1st batch?  How about in the 2nd batch?  How will compare the two numbers. 92 955 93 400 Ten Thousands Thousands Hundreds Tens Ones 9 2 9 5 5 9 3 4 0 0 same 3 is greater than 2 Therefore, 93 400 is greater than 92 955 93 400 > 92 955 Answer: Mayor Fresnedi distributed more goods on the second batch.
  • 12.  When comparing numbers, you can follow these steps: 1. Align the digits with the same place value 2. Starting from the left, compare the digits in each place value 3. The first pair of digits that are of different values will determine which number is greater or less. Step 1 Compare the digits in the ten thousands place. 92 955 same digits in the 93 400 ten thousand place Step 2 Compare the digits in the thousands place. 92 955 since 2 thousand is less than 3 thousand 93 400 Since 2 < 3 therefore: 92 955 < 93 400 Therefore: 92 955 is “<“ less than 93 400
  • 13.  How many goods distributed for the 1st batch?  How about the 2nd batch?  If you are going to write those numbers in words, how will you do it? 92 955 93 400 Ten Thousands Thousands Hundreds Tens Ones 1.) 9 2 9 5 5 2.) 9 3 4 0 0 For no. 2) Nine ten thousands is equal to Ninety thousands plus three thousands, four hundreds Do we need to write zero for the tens and ones? Therefore: answer in 2.) Ninety three thousands, four hundred Noticed that we need not to write the word zero. For no. 1) Nine ten thousands is equal to Ninety thousands, nine thousands, five hundreds and 5 ones Therefore: answer in 1.) Ninety two thousands, nine hundred fifty-five
