This project concerns the creation of a National Institute of Management and Administration (NIMA) that responds to a government initiative to establish an intensive education program in management and administration to train domestic experts in fields such as management, accounting, procurement, auditing, computers and information technology, English and secretarial functions. It represents the intent of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Economy to collaborate and with major international donor (namely the World Bank and the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund) to establish NIMA as a major investment in capacity building and workforce development for the young people of Afghanistan.
