Today, the use of technology is a powerful advantage in every field in the society. With the advent of development in information and communications technology (ICT), the process of learning and acquiring new knowledge had undergone a shift marked by a transition from desktop computing to the widespread use of mobile technology. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission on Higher Education said that colleges and universities following the new school calendar will no longer require students to attend face-to-face classes. One of the state universities that had been affected by this inevitable situation is the Laguna State Polytechnic University. This study aims to determine the readiness of the students in shifting to m-learning. Specifically, it aims to determine the availability of mobile devices, equipment readiness, technological skills readiness and psychological readiness. A survey-based methodology was used to obtain the data and descriptive statistics to analyze the results. It was determined that almost all of the students own mobile devices, are fully equipped with applications, have high technological skills and are quite ready in terms of psychological readiness.

A school is an educational institution for imparting knowledge to children. In an age where information acquisition about a school is assuming astronomical heights, the need for cost-effective and efficient information transmission methods cannot be overemphasized; hence the use of the website of a school to disseminate information is advised. This study examines the process of disseminating information on a school website using a college in the Northcentral of the six-geopolitical zone in Nigeria as a case study. A prior study of manually or locally dissemination of information in a school was carried out and its limitations are highlighted. A website that is able to handle processes like admission, comment, and newsletter has been analyzed and developed using hyper-text language, cascading style sheet, hypertext preprocessor. The study results in solving the information dissemination problem in the college with the development of an educational interactive website.

The primary objective of our empirical research project was the assessment of the efficiency of the heretofore delivered courses in light of the new learning options. Presently the respective research results are being processed and following a more sophisticated statistical analysis the information will be used as starting points for other scholarly inquiries. Our long term goals also include a comparison of the respective research results with similar scholarly programs performed in Hungary and in other countries as well. Finally, we can conclude that the integration of the new methods into the methodological components of teacher training programs is expected to obtain a strategic significance. The Eszterházy Károly College adopting such initiatives has proven to be a pioneer in this field as teaching programs supported by network-based learning are being continually offered and delivered in order to assure the highest possible standards and potential perfection of the respective teaching efforts.

Information and communication technologies (ICT) are simply technologies arising fromscientific and technological progress in computer sciences, electronics andtelecommunications. They enable us to process, store, retrieve and disseminate valuableinformation in text, sound and video form. In an increasing interconnected world, brought about by the application of technological advances to all sectors of society, quality education necessitates active and innovative exploration to maximize the benefits of ICT and developand maintain the partnerships that use of ICT in education requires. This calls for re-conceptualising and restructuring the educational enterprise, so as to confront thetechnological challenges of this millennium. With rapid changes within society and radical transformations in the way people acquire knowledge, new teaching paradigms arerequired, ones that tune educational systems to modern times and ensure quality trainingfor large numbers of persons.

There is general insecurity in the contemporary learning environment particularly at secondary education level. Such insecurity could be posed by distractions to learning as a result of peer pressure, poor program design in the schools and lack of appropriate provision and utilization of learning resources such as the ICT tools. Students of secondary schools are within the age bracket of 14-18 years, which fairly corresponds with the teenage or adolescence stage. Due to limited life experience of this age group, they trend to misuse the ICT infrastructure put in place to support their learning in school or even at home. Therefore, care has to be exercised to protect learners from dangerous and harmful effects of such ICT tools as internet which facilitates access to dangerous websites that render them vulnerable to insecurities and distractions. This paper discussed the available ICT tools in Nigerian secondary schools, the need to guide the students in proper utilization of such tools so that they do not fall victims of the insecurity posed by negative influence of the ICT tools. The paper recommended some strategies to be applied by teachers, administrators, policy makers, and care givers in protecting the learners from such dangers.
