5. Prior to completing the FAFSA information online, it is a good idea to use the FAFSA worksheet so you know what will be required Step 2

7. Create a pin number for your FAFSA Needed for electronic signature If you are filing as a dependent, parents will need a pin also Step 3
8. Make sure to include school code (002251) Sign Form Electronically Print signature page and mail in Step 4
9. School listed will receive Student Aid Report (SAR) If signed electronically 2 -3 weeks If printed signed form mailed in 5 -6 weeks You will receive SAR If signed electronically 2 -3 weeks If printed signed form mailed in 5 -6 weeks In your SAR, your Estimated Family Income (EFC) will be listed Step 5
10. You will receive an email sent to your college email with what your eligibility will be Step 6

12. You’ve been selected for verification The government randomly selects student for verification. Complete verification form and submit all documentation of income reported on the FAFSA Submit copies – all submitted documents will be shred after verification process is completed Step 7
14. Apply for Loans Subsidized – government pays interest Unsubsidized – student pays interest Parent Loans Complete loan application and turn it in to Financial Aid Office Step 8
