-Allows faster incorporation of
new findings into new research

• Article spreads like wildfire when released
openly and immediately
• Focus is on article impact rather than
journal impact
• Faculty of 1000 – follows articles making
impact on the research wherever they
appear by their individual merits.

Request for Information
– Seeking recommendations for how to expand
the NIH Public Access Policy to include 11
other federal agencies that award public
research funding.
– KU will be submitting responses
