- A literature review was conducted along with an online questionnaire that received 1,069 responses and 3 focus groups.
- The online questionnaire found that most students found it difficult to find courses at their host university and that 75% changed courses after arriving.
- 90% of students thought that an online tool could improve the learning agreement and ECTS process.
- Focus groups discussed challenges with filling out learning agreements, making changes upon arrival, and delays in receiving final grades. They felt an online tool could help address these issues.

• 3 Focus groups (Aveiro, Sakarya, Ghent)
• Filling in LA, sending it to the Host HEI and receiving confirmation and acceptance;
• Arriving to the Host HEI, reviewing LAs and making some changes;
• Leaving Host HEI and receiving by snail mail the final results at the Home HEI;
• Grades and ECTS transferred to the Home HEI local system.
