3. Healthy Tips
Try not to think of food as “off limits.” No matter what, you
are going to eat the food that looks the best to you.
So instead of trying not to eat a certain type of food, limit it by
portion size.
An easy way of limiting portion size is, pre-pack your food
before you plan on eating it.
Make a zip-lock bag of chips, cookies, etc. and then when
you are finished with the bag, do not go back for more.
4. I usually skip breakfast. It’s not
important right?
Wrong!!!
Even though you may be in a hurry, you can not skip
breakfast.
BREAKFAST IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE
DAY.
By eating breakfast it can jumpstart your metabolism.
If you skip this meal, you will be tired and lethargic
throughout the day.
Eat breakfast and it will help wake you up. Not a pop and
granola bar!
6. Fruits and Vegetables
Fruits and Vegetables are some of the most important foods
you can eat.
Anything that can be grown from a ground or tree is a good
rule of thumb when trying to find out if it is healthy enough for
you.
The more “green” you see on your plate, the better.
Most people often cut the skins off the vegetables but if you
leave those on, it is more healthy for you.
Greens are a great source of vitamins.

7. Proteins
Proteins are a great source of energy.
Proteins not only give you the energy when you don’t have
any but also allow you to keep going.
Lack of Proteins can cause your growth to slow.
Another reason why you should get the right amount of
Proteins in is because if you don’t you will have a loss of
muscle mass.
8. Whole Grains
Eating whole grains is very important.
There are many studies that show by just eating whole
grains, it will allow you to have a healthier heart.
If you do not like whole grains, incorporate them slowly.
Examples of whole grains include, brown rice or wheat pasta.
Pasta is a great way to get whole grains.
9. Different Types of Fats
There are two main types of fats.
One of them is Saturated Fats. These
would be found primarily in animal sources
including red meat.
The other main type of fat is called Trans
Fat. These types of fats could be found in
shortenings, margarines, and also in junk
food.
10. Review
Don’t avoid foods all together. Just limit your intake.
Eat as much “green” as possible.
Proteins will give you energy.
Eat three meals a day.
