This document summarizes research on removing phenol from aqueous solutions using adsorption onto pongamia glabra flower (PGF). Batch adsorption experiments were conducted to analyze the effects of solution pH, contact time, initial phenol concentration, adsorbent concentration, and temperature. Maximum phenol removal occurred at pH 6 and equilibrium was reached after 6 hours. Adsorption data fit both the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. Kinetic studies found the process followed pseudo-second-order kinetics. The research demonstrates the potential of using PGF for phenol removal from water.
