BELIEVE THE UNBELIEVABLE!

  Can you imagine a man 2.72 metres tall? Do you
believe it is possible to have a 90cm nail? What about
a 400 metres line of pizzas? How much do you think
the largest tiramisu weighed? You will find these and
other funny facts in our journey to the world records
 in the last years. Why don’t we take a look at them?
In this Webquest your objective is to find out about
 interesting and weird facts in the world. Which is the
   most unusual one? Would you like to be a record
             breaker? What would you do?

There are five steps in this WebQuest, and
you should follow them in the order they
are presented below:
Activity 1

A. Find out how the idea of creating a book of records came up.

B. Did you get all the facts right after visiting the sites above? Would you like to
know? Read the statements below and decide which ones are right and which
wrong
        In 1950, Sir Hugh Beaver was in a party shooting when the idea of creating a
         book of records came up.
        He wanted to know which was the fastest game bird in Europe.
        Norris and Ross McWhirter compiled and printed the book in 1954.
        Three years later, the first edition was bound on.
        The Guinness Book of Records never became a bestseller.
