New model needed to get most out of:
Staff resources
Building redevelopment
Student experience
This concept outlines the progression of skills development from specific subject knowledge to those that can be transferred within the workplace. Generic sessions bridge the gap between subject specific IL and transferable skills.
The model problematises subject specific/embedded IL delivery and highlights limitations in terms of general academic relevancy and long term transferability to the work environment. It shows how general delivery facilitates wider relevancy and can also accommodate subject specificity.
