2. WHY SWEET SHORGUM….? ? :
The evidence suggests that Sweet sorghum :
 A high productivity of several component (Grains, Stalks, Leaves, Roots),
 Multiple harvests per year in better climates,
 Time more efficient than sugar cane, sugar beet and corn , Drought tolerant,
 It has shorter growing cycle than sugar cane, sugar beet and corn,
 Efficiently converted to Ethanol,
 Soft and friendly, requires less energy to crush,
 The are of The 2nd Generation namely : Sweet Sorghum, Sugarcane, Tuber Crops 
FEED and OIL, NOT 1st Generation namely: Grain, Wheat, Corn, Barley (kind of Grain),
Wheat Black, Cassava, Potato and Rice  FOOD for OIL,
 Leaves excellent as animal feed and effluent usable as liquid fertilizer,
 Use as bio-fuels has no effect on food supplies,
 According to the FAO programs : Feed and Fuels, Bio-energy and Food Security, Bio-
energy and Energy Security, Bio-energy and Rural Development, Bio-energy and
Climate Change, Bio-energy and the Environment, Good farming and harvesting
practices for feedstock production.
