2. Waste management is no longer seen as an environmental
issue, but an economic sector and a social service.

3. The three Rs scenario finishes in sanitary landfills
where remaining waste is disposed of in a controlled way

4. The poor situation: NO Reuse culture NO
waste separation, NO waste treatment, and
dumps instead of landfills

5. There is a tremendous gap to bridge. In Spain, we are
closer than ever to the three Rs, having started from a
poor situation 20 years ago.
