• There are enough “pioneers” to go around, so don’t pick one that’s taken
already.
• Use the internet and/or SPC online library resources to identify the medical
device associated with that “pioneer”.
• Create a PowerPoint presentation using the information you found.
• Upload your completed presentation to your blog.
• Visit one of your classmates blogs and add to the information they shared.

4. WHAT TO DO…
Answer these questions…
Who, What, When, Where… Who is the pioneer? What did they invent or add to the
medical device society? When (year) did they do this? Where was the device used or
company location?
Discuss interesting details of how the pioneer started in the field.
Locate updated information on the pioneers device.. Has it changed over time?
Add pictures of the changes the device has gone through over the years.
Reflect on what you have learned, do you think the device is relevant? Have you had any
personal experience with the device/discuss it? Do you know of any trending issues
surrounding the device?
Remember to cite your work, and add attributions for any pictures you use.
