6. What can my class do with PBWorks? Class Resources - Publish class notes, PowerPoint lectures, schedules and policies; show off examples of great student work. Group Projects - Build collaborative pages, start discussions and encourage comments. Parent Outreach - Keep parents involved. Post assignments, key dates and volunteer lists. All available at home, from work, or anywhere. Student Portfolios - Give students their own page to post content, upload homework, and share their work. 8. Signing up to PBWorks Be careful when choosing your subdomain name as it can’t be changed once the account is set up.

Signing your kids up to PBWorks Go to settings tab Click ‘Classroom accounts’ Select the number of children you wish to add Select their permission level – writer would be sufficient to stop them deleting important data Record names and adjust usernames Don’t use full surnames Print out passwords
10. Important Note Ensure that kids do not go to www.pbworks.com and try to log in as they will not be able to. They need to go to the URL for your workspace eg. www.mrhoradam.pbworks.com
11. Permissions Classroom and Campus editions allow you to grant specific permissions to users Five permission levels in PBWorks: Administrator Editor Writer Reader Page Level Only
