Content Analysis 
Macbeth by William Shakespeare is a tragedy. The story shows us 
the destructive side of our ambition in life. It shows the end of a greedy man 
who ran behind his over ambition.

The pupil, 
* is familiar with a stories of king and queen. 
* is able to comprehend passage 
* has able to read stories.

Entry Activity 
Teacher give some activity cards and asks them to write are the 
predictions of the wishes? 
Link Talk 
Teacher asks the students to share the theme that we have studied. 
Micro Processing of Input 
Model reading by the Teacher 
The teacher reads the story two or three times a loud with correct 
pronunciation, stress, intonation and meaningful units. 
Track reading by the pupil 
Teacher asks the learners to track their reading by marking 
- for what they have understand. 
? - for what they haven’t. 
! - for what they found interesting/surprising. 
Loud reading by the pupil 
Teacher selects some students among them and asks them to read loudly 
the content portion. Teacher helps the student to pronounce correctly.

* Castle - /k2csti/ - large medieval fortified building

audience eagerly waited for the chief guest. 
* Predict - /predIt/ - State that an event will happen in the future. 
(Astrologers predict the future) 
Collaborative learning 
Students are asked to read in groups and share their ideas and also asked 
to write down the word in the personal worldlist. 
Megaphoning the doubts 
Each group has given opportunity to other group or teacher, can conduct 
an 
activity based on this paragraphs. 
Facilitation by the Teacher 
Teacher helps to clarify the difficult areas which no groups could 
effectively tackle. Teacher also explains the difficult areas. 
Scaffolding Questions 
1. Does the first prophecy had been fulfilled? 
Yes 
2. What would be witches foretold to Banquo? 
Banquo’s descendants would be kings of Scotland. 
3. What kind of person was Banquo? 
Banquo was a simple and upright person. 
Presentation by the pupil 
Randomly students are selected from each group and they are asked to 
present the answers for scaffolding questions. 
Language Activity 
Imagine you were the witches and what would you predict for Macbeth. 
Write three predictions.
Review 
Macbeth and Banquo continued their journey. On the way the messenger 
came and told that the king was pleased with victory and he had made you the 
‘Thane of Cawdor’. So the first properly had been fulfilled and he believed the 
witches. Macbeth’s mind was disturbed and he talk to Banquo. But Banquo was 
a simple and upright person, so he don’t believe the witches and said to 
Macbeth don’t fall in to the witches trap. 
Assignment 
“Life is a told by an idiot. Signifying nothing” 
Write someone quote related to ‘life’
