Access to University through PAU (Pruebas de Acceso a la Universidad or Access Tests to University, also known as Selectividad) </li></ul><ul><li>3. Start to work. </li></ul>Educational system (structure)
  6. 6. <ul><li>University courses are structured in cycles, and have the credit as a </li></ul><ul><li>measure for the lessons. </li></ul><ul><li>o First cycle courses: Access with pre-enrollment. </li></ul><ul><li>These are 3-year terminal studies, and when finished, a student can obtain a certificate as well as a teaching or engineering diploma. This also allows students to study in the second cycle. </li></ul><ul><li>o Studies of 1st and 2nd cycle (4 or 5 years): Access with the university preinscription. Passing it gives the right to obtaining an academic degree (Licenciatura), architecture or engineering qualification. </li></ul><ul><li>o Studies of second cycle: Access through the first university cycle </li></ul><ul><li>o Studies of 3rd cycle: they are the called Ph.D. programs (doctorate). </li></ul><ul><li>The access is regulated by the university itself, through the Doctorate Commission. Spanish omelette <ul><li>Ingredients (3 people): </li></ul><ul><li>Four eggs </li></ul><ul><li>½ onion </li></ul><ul><li>½ kilograme of potatoes </li></ul><ul><li>Oil (one glass, ¼ litre) </li></ul><ul><li>Salt </li></ul><ul><li>Steps: </li></ul><ul><li>Step 1 : Wash and cut the potatoes into small pieces. Once you have the oil hot, put the potatoes in it, adding minced onion and salt until they were fried. When the potatoes were fried, separate them from the oil with the help of a sieve. </li></ul><ul><li>Step 2 : Beat the eggs with salt and once beaten, add the potatoes. Mix them well with the beaten egg. </li></ul><ul><li>Step 3: Prepare again the pan in the fire with oil. Put on it the mixture of eggs and potatoes. When you appreciate that the omelette became solid, put a cover over it and turn it round several times. </li></ul><ul><li>Now you can eat it hot or cold as you prefer. It’s served in many bars as a “tapa” </li></ul>
