As we evolve from sick care systems to true healthcare delivery, the future of healthcare lies at the intersection of consumers, technology and healthcare. This talk takes a practical look at the subtle yet foundational differences between the medicalization of the consumer (our past), versus the consumerization of healthcare (our future). Where are the pitfalls and opportunities? What role do person-centric platforms play in the healthcare delivery systems of the future? And yes, the future is here today!

Platform of Platforms for the Consumerization of Healthcare
The simple, smart TV is central to the engagement benefit of the system. Services are embedded within the TV and delivered as appropriate – for example, a medication or calendar reminder, popping up on top of the programming being shown on the TV, that gets disposed using the standard remote control.
Consumer is not at the center in the broken model. Put the consumer in between where it says consumer now, and the consumer dot, halfway over each side of the edge of the Tech and Healthcare circles. This way, the consumer is indeed NOT in the center, but an afterthought. Pls also change the word “healthcare” to “Sickcare”
Concept of Post Acute. Everyone knows Post Acute. How come no one heard of PRE Acute.
Now the consumer is not only the center, but the majority of the circle. Technology and healthcare are part of the picture but they are not the whole person. >>> Please have the colors match the previous, and the wording. Consumer is great that it’s big. Middle should be Tech in that blue. And smallest, but a little bit larger, should be Healthcare.
This is what PRE Acute looks like. And not just in Medical Terms (such as pre surgery visits / prep / education) , but practically … everyone wants to stay away from the next stage of care!
