This document provides instructions and data for a density experiment involving 11 objects. Table 1 lists the mass and initial/final volumes of objects 1-4. Table 2 lists the same for objects 5-11 and calculates their densities by dividing mass by volume. Table 3 gives the densities of water, ethanol, gasoline and seawater. It asks the student to find the density of a crown and determine if it's real gold based on the evidence. It provides textbook pages as a resource and asks the student to fill in densities for glycerin, corn syrup and pancake syrup and predict their layering in a graduated cylinder.
