-Bauer Media Group is a European-based media company,
headquartered in Hamburg, Germany that manages a
portfolio of more than 600 magazines, over 400 digital
products and 50 radio and TV stations around the world. The
portfolio includes print shops, postal, distribution and
marketing services. Bauer Media Group has a workforce of
approximately 11,000 employees in 17 countries.Wikipedia

Who are they ?
Millennials
to be heard – especially online where they are highly activeThe
Influencers are the smallest group identified by Bauer. They account
for just 11% of Millennials (1.7m) and are more likely to be male. They
have the highest media consumption of any segment, at an average
66 hours a week, and exhibit the widest range of media behaviours.
They are defined as creative and influential, like their voice to be heard
– especially online where they are highly active - and follow trends

obvious why they have a great interest in Millennials because they will
most likely be the most familiar age group with social media and
computers. they also spend the most amount of time online which is
why they should be prioritised over different age groups.

Bauer media controls the portfolio of many different well-known
brands, on their magazine page they have 51 different magazines
which allow them to connect to a lot of individual niche markets, they
do not just strive for on audience or have a magazine to fit all
people. They have many magazines so there is most likely atlas one
that will appeal to an individual. They vary from vehicle magazines,
to music and even a horse magazine. A magazine that appealed to
me was the ‘EMPIRE’ magazine, this was because they have
exclusive interviews with Tom Cruise and they were even on set
with Quentin Tarantino, he’s the director behind some great classics
such as Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, these are some of my favourite
films and I really like this director this will attract me to this
magazine. A lot of car/ bike fans will be attracted to Bauer media as
they include classic cars, supercars, motorbikes, and even classic
bikes. This is helping to attract the majority of motoring fans as they
is a magazine for many different stakes of vehicles.
Radio
The seeds of Bauer Media’s radio business were planted in1990 with the
acquisition of London dance station KISS FM. Today we operate 81
commercial local, national and digital stations in the UK, including Absolute
Radio, Magic, KISS and the Bauer City Network of 22 iconic local brands,

and now Bauer Media has the biggest commercial digital radio audience
Television
In 1996, we acquired digital music TV channel The Box, that has grown
into Box Plus Network, a seven-channel joint venture TV business
with Channel4. Reaching 16 million viewers per month and offering more
music than any other TV network, Box Plus Network brands include
4Music, KISS, Magic, Boxhits and Kerrang!

Audiences
As Bauer Media has a wide variety of magazines, radio
channels, and television channels they have a very large
audience. On their website they say their audience is from 18
years old to 75 years old. This is due to the large variety in
content they offer, this is good as a relatively large amount of
people enjoy reading a magazine so they are striving to please
everyone.
Bauer Media is a very large conglomerate and they expand their
business through horizontal integration, this type of integration is
very useful as it can give the consumer a sense of choice and not
the feeling that they are trapped to buy a magazine from one
company, they own a majority of them but they keep their original
name so the fans of them do not feel like they have sold out and
that the brand will change. This can help the customers repeat
purchase and gain loyalty towards certain brands.
On their page they offer many jobs and work experience, this
is good because this can allow them to train new employees
as work experience in the hope for them to enjoy this type of
work. In the long run this can lead to these people deciding on
a job with them in the future, which can help them expand
them as a business if they are getting well trained people
applying for job applications with them.
