How many people don’t know about the usefulness of bicycling.
One for each and separate Transportation – less costly. 27% of all trips one mile or less, 49% 3 miles or less, 63% five miles or less. Short trips are most easily replaced by bike and are a more effective means of decreasing air pollution than decreasing total VMT. Pollution – no air pollution Health – particularly with aging community Community Livability – traffic noise and danger. Option for those too young or old to drive. Marketing tool for older communities. Promotes Social interaction
