In 2008 we ran a pilot which focused on six high schools \n\nO’Neill Junior-Senior High School - O’Neill, NE\nMoreau Catholic - San Francisco, CA\nPunahou School - Honolulu, HI\nManor New Tech High - Manor, TX (suburb of Austin)\nPratt High School - Pratt High School Kansas\nMooresville Graded School - Moorseville, NC\n\nEach of these schools has a 1:1 deployment with Apple. The reason we focused on High Schools was because the national High School drop out rate is 31% and the research showed that the choice was made whether or not to stay in school during the Freshman year of High School. The majority of High School drop-outs occur during the 10th grade year. \n\nThe pilot included 29 teachers and over 300 students. The teachers were brought together in Cupertino for a training prior to implementing CBL on their campus. \n
