This document provides information about a two-day workshop on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and its applications that will be held on April 9-10, 2014 at Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang, Malaysia. The workshop will cover the principles of SEM, how to apply it in software, and how to interpret and report SEM results. Participants will learn techniques like confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis, and multi-group analysis. The workshop fee is MYR600 but discounts are available for groups and students. Recommended hotels near the venue are also listed.

2. INTRODUCTION
This workshop covers the principles and issues of
Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and its practical
applications. The two-day workshop covers the purpose
of SEM, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), path analysis,
and multi-group analysis. The participants will learn how
to conceptualize models of theoretical interest, recognize
identification of problems, perform model estimation and
modification using AMOS software, and choose the final
model for establishing direct and indirect relationship
among the study variables.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES
Knowledge of (a) Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) of
covariance and mean structures of research data; (b) how
to apply SEM to real data sets with one of the available
computer software; (c) how to read, understand, and
interpret scientific articles in which SEM has been applied
and (d) how to report SEM analyses and SEM results in
scientific journal articles.
WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR
ASSOC. PROF. DR. KRISHNASWAMY JAYARAMAN
He as 29 years of experience as a professor in Statistics.
He has a wide range of experience in data analysis using
Statistical Software and carried out some major projects
for National and International organizations. He is well
versed in Statistical analysis particularly in Model Building,
