Background - Uses 65-75% as solvent for fibers, 15-20% in production of pharmaceutical products. Also used as a laboratory solvent, and in the industry as an intermediate and an additive.
Background – Structure and Properties
Process Considered 4 Step proces involving raw materials methanol, ammonia and carbon monoxide Ammonia, Monomethyl amine and Trimethyl amine are recyclable Feed ratios  are maintained as per stoichiometry, and explained in the thesis.
