План-конспект внеклассного мероприятия
Тема мероприятия: «English – a language of the world»
Тип мероприятия: комбинированный.
Класс: 7
Цели мероприятия:
Практические:
- развитие умений монологической и диалогической речи (умение
выражать собственную мысль по определенному вопросу);
- развитие аудитивных умений (просмотр видеоролика)
- развитие умений восприятия и понимания иноязычной речи на слух
(ведение мероприятия на английском языке).
Общеобразовательные:
- Систематизация, углубление и расширение знаний учащихся по данной
теме (раскрытие темы «English – a language of the world»);
Развивающие:
- развитие памяти, внимания, мышления (инсценировка исполняемых
диалогов и песни);
- развитие внимания, логики и языковой догадки учащихся.
Воспитательные:
- воспитание интереса к изучению иностранного языка (с помощью
иллюстративного материала).
Формы работы с классом: фронтальная, коллективная.
Оснащение мероприятия:
1. Ноутбук, телевизор.
2. Аудио- и видеозаписи.
3. Видеоряд.
Структура мероприятия:
I этап: Вводная часть
- организационный момент (1 мин.)
- речевая зарядка (2 мин.)
II этап: Основная часть
- инсценировка ситуаций, где может понадобиться знание английского
языка
- просмотр видеоролика
- командная игра «Наборщик» (составление слов из одного длинного)
- проверка домашнего задания (демонстрация выполненных рисунков и их
трактовка)
III этап: Заключительная часть
- подведение итогов (2 мин)
- заключительная песня (4 мин)
Ход мероприятия
I этап: Вводная часть
Тема мероприятия и дата отражены на доске
Teacher: Good afternoon! I’m glad to see you! Please, take your seat.
As you know, today we are going to speak about English language – a language of
the world. And now I want you to look at the blackboard. Here, you can see a
quotation of an Irish playwright, novelist and short story writer – George Bernard
Shaw. Please, read this quotation (statement).
“England and America are two countries divided by a common language”
What do you think? What does this statement mean?...
All right! In these two countries people speak English. And what other countries
do you know where people speak English?
That means that English is the most spoken language.
II этап: Основная часть
(Учащиеся получают карточки с заданиями)
- In almost all countries of the world people can speak and understand English, and
also, in every country (almost all countries) people learn English as a foreign
language! Now, I would like to ask you: “Why do people learn English?”…
- Good! So, there are many situations when we need English! Right? For example,
if you are in abroad and suddenly you’ve got lost… What can you do? You’ll ask a
passer-by where you should go or how you can get to some place. And now we
will listen to Pasha and Sergey! They have prepared a dialogue for this situation.
When you travel, you’ll arrive at the airport, you’ll go to the restaurants, to the
shops, and you can go to the cinema or the theatre, of course you’ll need English in
any of these situations. Now, let’s listen to Liza and Christina! They are in a
shop…
When do we need English else? For ex. You can work in a foreign company or just
look for a job, and so, you can be interviewed to get a job! I ask Egor and Artem to
come to the blackboard…
All of us are waiting for a great event of the year of 2014. Because this year is the
year of Olympic Games in Sochi! And what is the official language of the
Olympics? Of course, it’s English. Ok, now we are in 2014 and we’re setting off
for Sochi, to one of the streets of Sochi…
Also, English helps people to communicate with each other if they have different
mother tongues. So people can make friends, interact etc. You can have a friend,
for ex., from Sweden or Finland, or some another country – English will unite you
in spite of that fact that you have different native languages.
- Now, I think that everybody can agree that we need English, that it’s necessary to
learn it. And what would it be if people didn’t learn English and couldn’t speak it?

Well! Did you like it?
Of course, this lady shouldn’t have proposed her help and interpreted that
conference… right? BUT… if all of those people had spoken (could speak)
English, would they have got into such situation? No, they wouldn’t.
- Do you agree that English is an international language? Then, you will be divided
into two teams. Your task is to make up the words as many as possible from the
letters of this word: INTERNATIONAL. You’ll have 3 minutes.

I’d like to ask you: “What is English for you?” You had to draw the pictures. Now,
come to the blackboard by turn and show to us your pictures…
III этап: Заключительная часть
Very good! All the pictures are wonderful! Our event (holiday) is going to be over.
What conclusion can we make in the end of our lesson? (a language of the world)
As we live in this world and we love it I propose you to finish our lesson by
singing a song “The world is just awesome”!

Please, read this quotation (statement). “England and America are two countries divided by a common language” What do you think? What does this statement mean?... All right! In these two countries people speak English. And what other countries do you know where people speak English? That means that English is the most spoken language. When you travel, you’ll arrive at the airport, you’ll go to the restaurants, to the shops, and you can go to the cinema or the theatre, of course you’ll need English in any of these situations. You can work in a foreign company or just look for a job, and so, you can be interviewed to get a job! I ask Egor and Artem to come to the blackboard… All of us are waiting for a great event of the year of 2014. Because this year is the year of Olympic Games in Sochi! And what is the official language of the Olympics? Of course, it’s English. Ok, now we are in 2014 and we’re setting off for Sochi, to one of the streets of Sochi… Also, English helps people to communicate with each other if they have different mother tongues. So people can make friends, interact etc. You can have a friend, for ex., from Sweden or Finland, or some another country – English will unite you in spite of that fact that you have different native languages. - Now, I think that everybody can agree that we need English, that it’s necessary to learn it. And what would it be if people didn’t learn English and couldn’t speak it? Let’s watch the video… Well! Did you like it?
