The document provides rules and guidelines for using the Jones Library. It outlines 5 main rules: 1) Do something productive, 2) Respect others, 3) Use computers only for academic purposes, 4) Show care for library resources, and 5) No food, drink, gum, or candy. Additional guidelines specify that cell phones should only be used for academic purposes quietly, printing is limited to one copy of work required for class, and lunch options require either eating in the cafe or skipping lunch to use the full period in the library.
7. #4 Show care when using
library resources
Oh--I better
get my feet down so I
don’t scuff the tables!
These books
are really nice.
I’m going to show
care so they stay nice for
the next
reader!
9. Cell Phone Use
Do not take calls or allow your phone to make noise in the library.
Use your phones for academic purposes.
Remember you must be doing something productive and using the
library resources while here.
Texting wouldn’t be considered productive and/or academic.
Listening to music is OK as long as you are the only one who can
hear the music.
10. Academic Use Only
Only print what you create that you are required
to turn in for class.
One copy. Never print multiple copies.
Don’t hit “Print” a second time if you don’t see
your paper. Get help.
