Seperti Belanda Minta Tanah
 Kisah Belanda minta tanah daripada Kerajaan Melaka sebelum kedatangan
Portugis. Kisah tersebut adalah muslihat pertama orang Eropah menipu
orang Melayu. Sekumpulan orang Belanda mengadap Sultan Melaka pada
masa itu meminta sebidang tanah hanya sebesar kulit kambing yang
mereka bawa.
Melihat hanya kecil sahaja kulit kambing itu, tanpa berfikir panjang baginda
terus setuju kerana tanah sebesar kulit kambing bukanlah luas mana pun.
Orang lain yang melihat hanya ketawa sahaja kerana apa orang-orang
Belanda ini hendak buat dengan tanah sebesar kulit kambing sahaja.
Esoknya baru orang Melaka tahu luas mana tanah sebesar kulit kambing.
Si Belanda ini telah memotong kulit kambing itu menjadi tali yang cukup
panjang dan tali itu dibuat pengukur tanah yang mereka minta. Akhirnya
mereka berjaya mendapat beberapa ekar tanah di Melaka pada waktu itu.
Itulah muslihat terbesar yang pernah dilalui oleh orang-orang Melayu.
Sehingga sekarang peristiwa itu terpahat sebagai satu peribahasa Melayu
‘Bagai Belanda Minta Tanah’.

Latarbelakang ISO
 Oleh kerana "International Organization for
Standardization" would have different acronyms
in different languages ("IOS" in English, "OIN" in
French for Organisation internationale de
normalisation), its founders decided to give it
also a short, all-purpose name”.
 “They choose "ISO", derived from the Greek
isos, meaning "equal". Whatever the country,
whatever the language, the short form of the
organization's name is always ISO”.

 Crosby (1979): menepati kehendak pelanggan
(conformance to requirements)
 David Garvin (1988): kebolehpercayaan (reliability),
penepatan (conformance), ketahanan (durability),
keupayaan perkhidmatan (serviceability), estetik,
persembahan, ciri-dri asas produk atau perkhidmatan
dan kualiti yang dijangka (perceived quality).
 Juran (1988): kesesuaian dalam penggunaan (fitness
for use).
2.2.1 Quality
 An organization focused on quality promotes a culture
that results in the behaviour, attitudes, activities and
processes that deliver value through fulfilling the needs
and expectations of customers and other relevant
interested parties.
 The quality of an organization’s products and services is
determined by the ability to satisfy customers and the
intended and unintended impact on relevant
interested parties.
 The quality of products and services includes not only
their intended function and performance, but also their
perceived value and benefit to the customer.

  • 9. Seperti Belanda Minta Tanah  Kisah Belanda minta tanah daripada Kerajaan Melaka sebelum kedatangan Portugis. Kisah tersebut adalah muslihat pertama orang Eropah menipu orang Melayu. Sekumpulan orang Belanda mengadap Sultan Melaka pada masa itu meminta sebidang tanah hanya sebesar kulit kambing yang mereka bawa. Melihat hanya kecil sahaja kulit kambing itu, tanpa berfikir panjang baginda terus setuju kerana tanah sebesar kulit kambing bukanlah luas mana pun. Orang lain yang melihat hanya ketawa sahaja kerana apa orang-orang Belanda ini hendak buat dengan tanah sebesar kulit kambing sahaja. Esoknya baru orang Melaka tahu luas mana tanah sebesar kulit kambing. Si Belanda ini telah memotong kulit kambing itu menjadi tali yang cukup panjang dan tali itu dibuat pengukur tanah yang mereka minta. Akhirnya mereka berjaya mendapat beberapa ekar tanah di Melaka pada waktu itu. Itulah muslihat terbesar yang pernah dilalui oleh orang-orang Melayu. Sehingga sekarang peristiwa itu terpahat sebagai satu peribahasa Melayu ‘Bagai Belanda Minta Tanah’. www.themegallery.com
