4. Don’t fear Shakespeare! In this course, we’ll read about a hunchbacked king who’ll kill anyone who gets in his way -- even children! We’ll laugh as we watch two people argue and bicker and deny they’re in love, all the way to the altar. And we’ll read one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies about a man so in love with his wife and so jealous that she’ll leave him that he does the unthinkable. 10. Literature Workshop In this 10 week pass/fail course, we explore different genres: drama, poetry, novel, short story, and visuals!
11. Understanding Media We focus on the influence media have on society specifically how gender, race and violence are represented in television, film, books, radio, newspapers, magazines, advertisements and the internet.
12. Come explore what it means to write for an audience. This one semester elective course is a broad overview of print and online media.
