4. Northridge Middle School has been in the planning process necessary to begin a Title I school wide program. A school wide program is a comprehensive reform strategy designed to upgrade the entire educational program in a Title I school. Northridge’s mission statement has been revised based on feedback about the purpose and goals of our school. The information collected from parent and teacher surveys as well as Parent Involvement Committee meetings was synthesized into our new mission statement. Please direct comments to kallen@vbsd.us

Northridge Middle School would like to invite 6th grade parents to attend a meeting about “SmartCore”. Smart Core is a required curriculum that is a part of a state initiative focused on students so that they are prepared for life beyond graduation. The goal is to implement educational strategies that are innovative, effective, rigorous, relevant and rewarding so that students are prepared to compete and be successful in the ever changing global marketplace. We hope that you will attend this meeting.
