Author Studies
Students can choose a favorite author to research and
even e-mail through the Internet.
Many children's and young adult authors have Web sites to
reach their readers.

79. Tech-Literacy Centers
Progressive Stories
Students can design and write their own stories as a group.
Each group in a center may add to the
beginning, middle, or end of the story.
With Kid Fix, HyperStudio, or PowerPoint, the first group
can construct a title slide and first slide to begin the
story. As students rotate, the story builds, with the final
group designing an ending.
These are great for collaboration and not to mention, fun!
