D!S Interest Meeting Power Point
- 1. DISCOVERY!SUMMIT 2010 General Interest Meeting Thursday, October 15, 2009
- 3. Introduce students to college life and possibilities of pursuing the sciences in college
- 4. Provide hands on experience to aid in the learning process
- 8. Chemistry & Environmental Science
- 9. Tours of campus, particularly science labs
- 10. Student speakers and panels
- 13. Approximately 3-7 members needed for each committee
- 15. Organize lesson plan for interactive workshop
- 16. Create worksheets to facilitate learning
- 17. Should meet about once a week to plan; more frequently in the weeks leading up to D!S
- 18. Meeting with GUMSHOE board members once a month for progress updates as well as email coordination
- 19. Volunteer on the day of:
- 20. Set up/clean up; TAs for workshops
- 21. Campus tours
