2. Japan
• Japan is densely inhabited because of all the
jobs. Its unemployment rate was only 4.6%
as of January 2012. This is very low
compared to the United States
unemployment rate of 8.3%.
3. China
• China is extremely populated. In
fact, 19% of the world's population resides in
China. China is also major supplier of
coal, oil, and power.
4. South Korea
• Seoul, the capital of South Korea, has a
population of around 10,421,782 people.
99.9% of these people are Korean, and 0.1%
are Chinese. This country was conquered
many different times, by many different
countries. Seoul is often called the "Soul of
Asia".
5. Taiwan
• Taiwan is densely populated on the east
coast, while the center of the island is
virtually uninhabited because of a chain five
mountain ranges. This mountain range
makes it hard to build houses on the eastern
side of Taiwan.
