2. 1. Developing action steps
 All in life is a process, so as teachers it is
important to clear some steps in order to
organize and improve professionally.
 I mean focus on the goals we want to
reach in an explicit period of time and
make them actions.

3. My goals! Apply new techniques and strategies into my class.
 Be an innovated teacher.
 Improve my knowledge, research, increase as teacher
and person.
 I want to work as coordinator and share with other what I
know.
 One of my passion at the moment is use technology and
share with my English teachers friends, new tools to apply
in classroom. So, I wish to work as couch to share my
knowledge with other teachers and help them to
innovate the student’s learning process.
 I learn other language, such as French, because I studied
2 courses a few years ago and I need to finish with this
goal.
 I really want to do a lot of things, but the things that I
mention are the most important for me to reach.

4. 2. Set long term goals first
In this step we will start by asking to yourself some question
about the work we do, if we feel great doing it, etc.
They might me:
 Do I feel comfortable in my place of work?
 Do I learn something with my job?
 Do I need to change something to do a better
performance?
 What am I doing to improve my knowledge?

5. 3. Technical Knowledge
It is important improve our
knowledge. So, as professional
we need to be frequently
upgrade. We need to be
prepare to jobs that even exist
and that is the key to get a better
job.

6. 4.Developing Action-steps
In this part we need to focus on
organized our goals and start to
doing action in order to reach our
goals, I mean small actions make
big changes. Let’s start positive!
Example:
I will apply new strategies in my
class.

7. 5.Make a record of your “pinnackle moments”
Nothing is better that keep into account all those
moments that help me to improve myself and make
me feel satisfied about what I am doing.
I mean all is about attitude, just we need to think
positive.

8. “Pinnacklemoments”  One of my best moments in my career was when I
gave a capacitation to some teachers in my job, I
was fascinate about my presentation because I like to
share what I know. So, now teachers use other tools
and techniques to teach in class. And when I have an
opportunity to share new things, I tried to give them
that resources.
 I have the experience as a volunteer translator/
interpreter at the Intercontinental Hotel, where I was
working in a project called “Guatemala Prospera” I
met new people and I learn a lot of things about this
field. And when the opportunity come again, I would
like to do it, because I now that is important open the
doors, show my abilities and apply my new
knowledge

9. 6. Evaluate Yourself
It is necessary to make
an evaluation about
myself, so I can see my
strengths and my
weaknesses and I can
start improving the
hard things to me.

10. 7. Explore Context
Three important things to consider
are:
Analyze, evaluate and decide if
there is something you need to
change because is beyond
of reach. We need to keep in mind
to be focus on the real goals. Doing
that, we don’t have other
distractors and we work in what is a
real goal.

11. 8. Be ready for changes!!!
This is the big step, you need
to be ready for changes,
ready for challenge, ready to
reach the goals the objects
you are planning. Start doing
action, stand up and believe
you can have new
opportunities to increase.

12. 9. Make a list of your skills and how to put in to
practice
Creative by doing materials Good listeners by

Positive attitude
performance my daily aids.
Take risks to increase as
professional.
Hard worker, as a teacher
already work hard but we
need but we can give a little
more.
Visionary to have an
objective that we want to
reach.

13. 10. Work in team
 Definitely, work in teams is the
best option to success and
reach our goals, the truly clue is
always be together as a team.
