Zealand

means they are

5. Appearance
If you ever try
to spot The
Kereru it looks
like this:
Quite Big (It
has the
biggest beak
after the
moa!)
Its back and
head feathers
are green and
bronze but
can look
purple with
the trick of the
light.
6. Predators
The Predators of the Kereru are:
Possums
Cats- although they’re cute they’re
predators too!
Rats
And Stoats!

let ANY of these animals into a

7. Life Span!
A Kereru lives up to about 20
years . So when we grow up
and become 20, a kereru
might too!
A Kereru usually has one
chick per year, so the life
cycle keeps on going and
going!
