- Ask how they plan face to face sessions Listen for and fill in: Audience/Learners: available to participate via technology (bandwidth, software version, if synchronous is the timing convenient) Are there alternate ways for audience members to receive the information, familiarity with using technology Learning Objectives Frequency and availability Synchronous or Asynchronous Self-paced or instructor-led Blended possibilities Archives Reuse/Repurpose Support availability Who else is doing this? Stakeholder input
- Some estimates – 4x the planning time than for a f2f
- Create shorter lessons/activities to fit in busy schedules
- Don’t do an information dump – create new learning with the learners
- Does someone need to do every lesson to complete the series/curriculum – think non-linear, independent lessons
- If appropriate (not self-paced, instructor-led), create a community of learners who create new learning and collaborate online
- Give opportunities for feedback for improvement
